Element: Maintenance schedules are read and maintenance tasks are confirmed to match schedule
       
Element: Competent maintenance personnel are consulted to confirm step-by-step procedure is worked out to minimise time delays and to sequence maintenance processes consistent with manufacturer recommendations
       
Element: Prepare for pre-start checks
  • Hazards are identified and risks are eliminated or control measures selected and implemented in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Required tools, consumables and equipment are identified and suitable
       
Element: Equipment is inspected for visible faults and loose or damaged components
       
Element: Conduct pre-start operations and safety checks
  • Fluid levels are checked and adjusted in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Mechanical components are checked to ensure attachments and tensions are secure in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Own work and crane system operations are checked to ensure crane’s operational condition is in accordance with manufacturer specifications and in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Tools, equipment and unused consumables are returned to appropriate locations and waste is disposed of in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Mobile crane is monitored during operations in accordance with workplace procedures
